Text: Psalms 30:5 KJV
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
MESSAGE
Just as after a long night, the day must break, so also joy after the valley. The valley many times may bring a season of tears, but it is just a season, God changes times and seasons, and He will definitely turn the tide for you.
The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:1 that there are different times and seasons in life, the writer then continued to compare those times, summarily into the valley season and its corresponding mountain top season.
In the valley of suffering which many have found themselves today, some have lost hope and cannot carry on because they do not know that there is a plan God has made ready for them. Truly the righteous cry but the Lord hears and delivers him (Psalms 34:17).
I pray that the Lord will speak to your hearts this morning, especially those going through one suffering or the other in Jesus’ Name. Amen. In Hebrews 12:2 the Bible says that Jesus endured the cross and despised the shame because there was a joy set before Him. Likewise, while going through your valley do not fret or agitate because there is going to be joy in the morning.
No one truly understands the dept of your trials, but Jesus does, he was where you were in the days of His flesh when He cried with strong crying and tears, but He also received a great position of honour after His valley experience. You can trust Him to hold your hand and bring you into a new season of rejoicing.
For you, it may be physical suffering, mental suffering, emotional suffering that seem to represent your valley. To mention every kind of suffering may be lengthy but Jesus knows what applies to you and you can confide in Him. He will turn your mourning into dancing, He will give you beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness (Isaiah 61:1-3).
To those going through crises, be settled in your mind that joy is coming. One thing you must do is to examine yourself, check if the fault is not in you. As long as your conscience bears witness with you that you are standing correctly in the will of God, then you can rest because the trial of your faith is more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tried in the fire, it might be found unto praise, and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. (1. Peter 1:7).
Finally beloved, may the God of all grace, who has called you unto eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, established, strengthened and settled. Amen.
REFLECTION
Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
James 5:11
May the Lord give you strength and grace to endure till the end of your valley in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
