And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Genesis 5:24

MESSAGE

God rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). He has never called anyone to seek Him in vain. The Bible says when He is sought with the whole heart He would be found, when He is called upon He would answer (Jeremiah 29:12-14).

Every time God calls a man into a personal walk as He calls every believer at salvation. It is a call to blessing, prosperity, long life, good health, all other great physical blessing and then a glorious eternity.

In Jeremiah 29:11, He says, “My thoughts for you are good, not evil, to give you a glorious future”. Everyone who has walked with Christ wholeheartedly always ends up a wonder. How do you describe ordinary fishermen becoming an unstoppable force in the face of intellectuals, powerful and wealthy tyrants of their time?

God took them from the dust and lift them from the dunghills to become agents of transformation and revival in their time. The Bible says that men who walk with God will never be forsaken, in times of famine, God will satisfy them, even their children will never beg for bread. (Psalms 37:25)

Indeed every one who has come into Christ is fortunate if only they would walk with Him. Jesus told Peter and other disciples, anyone who has left anything to follow men, will every a hundredfold return on earth and then eternal life. A great investment you’d say, a life sown to God is never wasted but abides forever. (Matthew 18:29).

In our text of the day, we saw Enoch walk with God in holiness, fear and humility for 300 years. He did what should both get us angry and comfort us. Angry about our inconsistency in our walk with God(rising and falling) and comfort because God can do also with us what He did with Enoch.

Do not join the league of men who claim that holiness is not possible, this is a lie from the pit of hell. Holiness and purity of life is both the will of God for you and also a command. Remember, only the holy will see the Lord. (1 Thessalonians 4:3, 1 Peter 1:15-16, Hebrew 12:14).

Everyone who walks with God is wise, God’s blessing upon such is generational. God promised that such men would find Him when they seek Him, and nothing good shall be withheld from them.

There is a great reward for soul winners, they will shine as the brightness of the sky. Jesus said, if you bring forth abiding fruits, you get automatic answers to prayers (Daniel 12:3, John 15:16).

God owes no man anything, when He calls you to walk with Him, it is a call to bless you and make you a blessing as He made Enoch, Abraham and many other saints of old.

God is looking for men who will walk before Him with integrity and holiness. Not mere workers, hypocrites who serve God with eyeservice, and men-pleasers.

The ultimate reward for walking with God is eternity with God. God will wipe away all tears, and there will be no more sorrow and pain in Heaven where holy men who have walked with God dwells. Will you be there? (Revelation 21:4).

REFLECTION

I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

Isaiah 45:19

It is not vain to serve God and walk with Him. Our God is righteous, He will reward with great blessings on earth and then eternal rewards in heaven.

PRAYER

Father, please give me the grace to walk with you wholeheartedly from today.
