And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in.

Genesis 7:16

MESSAGE

In the book of Revelation 3:7, the Bible says that Jesus can both open and shut doors irreversibly. When He opens no one can shut it, and when He shuts nobody can open it.

Jesus is not only the way to God, but He is the door to salvation. In John 10:9, He said, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture”.

It is clear that there is neither salvation in any other (than Jesus): for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

While the door of salvation is opened, enter in. Do not stubbornly walk away in unbelief. A day will come when the door will be shut permanently.

God is offering you another opportunity to live, why should you die in your sin? Today the door is still opened to anyone who will dare come in.

Judgement is coming. A day when the door will be shut to sinners. It is a day when repentance will never be possible again; because it is appointed unto men to die once and after that is judgement (Hebrews 9:27).

When God was ready to begin judgement in the time of Noah, He allow him and his family into the ark and shut the door. God had the keys, not Noah. Noah could have opened up to people crying for help, but the keys are with God. That is why it is a dangerous thing to fall into the hands of the living God. (Hebrews 1031).

Are you a hypocrite playing church? Be warned! Are you a leader in ministry playing with sin in secret? Are you just another Gehazi, or Judas or Demas living in greed and covetousness? Be warned! Judgemmentnus coming.

Judgement is coming and it will begin in the house of God. No wonder the Lord says, “… many will say to me in that day Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you, depart from me, ye workers of iniquity” (Matthew 7:21-23).

The five foolish virgins were shut out because they were in church but not wholly given to Christ. They had activities but not the testimony of a faithful life. They were not ready to meet their Lord and the door was shut against them.

Are you saved and sanctified? Press on in your walk with God. Let nothing distract you on this heavenly pilgrimage. If you are not saved or you are unsure about your salvation, run to the Lord today before the door is shut.

REFLECTION

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:37

To receive God’s blessings, your obedience must be complete. Don’t allow disobedience to rob you of God’s promises for your life.

PRAYER

Father, give me the grace to be obedient to you in all things.
