MESSAGE
When men are united, there is an endless possibility for what they can achieve.
Throughout the Bible, you will see the power of unity in surmounting impossible situations.
Unity is a force that cannot be overlooked. When a group of people are of the same mind and purpose they make a fool out of impossibilities.
That is the reason why the devil is fighting against the unity of the church, marriages, and families. He knows that when believers are united, the power of God will be evident in their midst. A united family can never be a tool in the devil’s hands.
In our text of the day, we saw how the people set their hearts to building a city reaching to heaven and God said, it will be impossible for them not to achieve it because they were united.
There is nothing that God desires more than for believers to be one. Jesus said, that they may be one even as He and the Father is one (John 17:22-23) The Godhead shows this power of unity in the operation of God in the realm of men.
God instituted marriage with a desire to express the power of unity so that when one chases a thousand, two can chase ten thousand (Deuteronomy 32:30). The Bible says that two are better than one because they have good rewards for their labour. Unity in marriage protects against satan’s attack, and the family together with children can fulfil God’s plan for their existence. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).
To show how important this power of unity is, the Bible says that the prayer of the man will be hindered if there is no agreement between him and his wife (1 Peter 3:7).
In connection with prayer, Jesus said, when two or more people come together and agree on any matter it will be done for them. A united church or group of believers will have Jesus in their gathering with evidence of answers to prayers (Matthew 18:18-20). The Bible also recorded that unity allows the flow of anointing in the church. God’s Spirit moves unhindered. Power is present to work great miracles and bring many to Christ. (Psalms 133:1-3)
Is there unity in your home, church or among your circle of friends? If not, pray to God today to restore unity among you. Give no room for whoremongering, gossip and accusation. Let the peace of God rule your heart.
There is nothing that the devil fears more than a united church and family.

Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
