MESSAGE

The natural man cannot please God (Romans 8:8). It takes faith in God to leave certainty for uncertainty; the known for the unknown; the seen for the unseen.

The strength of faith hangs on the promise and He who makes the promise, I.e. what is the track record of the one asking you to do the unreasonable? Is He known for disappointing those who follow Him or does He furnish them beyond what is promised?

In our text of the day, God came to Abraham and asked him to leave everything he has known into the unknown. “To a land, I will show you” was all God told him, but Abraham went without question.

Indeed the natural man can not understand or accept the things of the Spirit because they are foolishness to him, neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14).

All God gave Abraham was His promise as He does give everyone whom he has called according to his will. It is when we trust and follow him that His whole plan is unveiled.

Though it does not make sense, if God is asking you to leave that job, location, relationship, or whatsoever He may be asking you to leave, please do not hesitate, do not procrastinate, just obey and move. Hesitating will only mean that your blessings are delayed.

Beloved when you step out, things will begin to fall in place for you. God’s promises are God Himself and the Bible says He cannot deny Himself. You can be sure that He is faithful who has promised and will also perform it (Romans 4:21; Hebrews 10:23).

Whatever God is asking you to do, however unreasonable it may be, confer not with flesh and blood; just obey and step out in faith. Ours is a walk of faith, as it is written: The just (justified, saved, believer in Christ) shall live by faith (Romans 1:17).

You cannot walk with God by sight, feelings, or what you can see – those are temporal and are subject to change, but you walk by faith in the unfailing word and promises of God (2 Corinthians 5:7; 4:18).

As long as you have His word, you are good to go. Trust God for grace to step out and do what He bids you do, you can be certain of His rich and great blessings (John 2:5)

Are you living in sin, and God is calling you to leave your sinful ways? Argue no more, agree quickly with the Lord and find rest for your soul in the Lord Jesus Christ.

REFLECTION

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

Hebrews 11:8

Do not worry about where He leads you, just step out in faith and you will be blessed.

PRAYER

Father, please help me to come into your promise for my life by taking a step of faith today.
