MESSAGE
Our God is not only jealous for His name but also over His children. He that messes with His beloved messes with Him because He is the consuming fire (Exodus 34:14; Deuteronomy 4:24). One of the earlier promises He made to Abram was to bless those that are for him and curse those that curse him (Genesis 12:3).
It is clear that we are apples of His eyes and if anyone dares touch any of His redeemed, such person has touched God in the wrong place.
For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
Zechariah 2:8
Truly if God be for His children, who in heaven or earth can be against them? You are safe in His hands and you must be persuaded that in Him you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:31; 37).
In our text of the day, we saw how God swung into action to defend His promise over Abram. Though the man had done foolishly, but God will not allow His word to fail because of human’s poor judgment.
Pharaoh took Sarai unknown to him to be Abram’s wife, but God would still not pardon his ignorance and allow his promise to fail. The Bible says, “And the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his household with a great plague because of Sarai”.
In the part of the country where I live, some powerful people take what belongs to others, and they do so with impunity: they take people’s lands, pervert justice, exploit the weak and vulnerable, and so on. Even if such people have taken what belongs to you, God will see to it that they vomit it.
Those who took what belongs to you have just signed up for trouble because God will be jealous for His name over your life. You can be sure that they will have no choice but to restore whatever they have taken from you in multiple folds.
Have some strange women or men taken your husband or wife? Have your health, job, business, and material possession been taken from you? God will spring up to restore whatever the enemy has taken from you.
Only maintain your integrity and walk before God, He will certainly fight for you and you will have rest. Stand firm in the rich promises of God. There will be restoration for you in Jesus’ Name. Amen (Exodus 14:14).
REFLECTION
Our heavenly Father will pity His children and be jealous over His heritage. Everything you have lost will be restored (Joel 2:25).
PRAYER
Father, please fight for me and restore everything the enemy has stolen from me in Jesus’ Name.
