Text: Isaiah 63:1 KJV

Further Reading: Matthew 8:23-34

Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

Isaiah 63:1

MESSAGE

This world is deeply spiritual and there are two sides to the battles we fight. It’s either you are on the Lord’s side or you belong to the kingdom of darkness.

The world is in darkness and controlled by the rulers of the dark place of this world. The devil is a wicked taskmaster who keeps men bound in sin. Scripture says the whole creation is subject to vanity waiting for deliverance from the hold of satan.

In this world, people run to different places to be saved. Many have tried many means to be free from the hand of this wickedness of the enemy. They have run from pillar to post and have fallen deeper into the captive power of the devil.

Only Jesus is mighty to save. Scripture says that He is able to save till the end (Hebrews 7:25). Our God is strong and mighty to deliver even the lawful captives of the devil – He is the Lord of Hosts (Psalms 24:7-10). This is possible because all powers in heaven and earth have been given to Jesus, and also because God has given Jesus a name above every other names and in His name, every knees bow and all tongues confess that Jesus is Lord.

By implication, Jesus is able to save and deliver from every kind of affliction and oppression of the Devil. He can save your marriage, your business from failing, your children from going rogue, your life from death.

Because He has been lifted, He will draw men to himself (John 12:32). All you need to do is to have faith and trust Jesus. As the serpent was lifted in the wilderness and only those who looked lived, so also must you look at Jesus and live (John 3:14).

Whatever you your challenge is in life, simply look upon Jesus and be saved (Isaiah 45:22).
The Lord Jesus mighty saves you today – just call upon Him and you will experience His saving power.

REFLECTION

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:13

Simply call to God by faith, He will save and deliver you from all your distresss.

PRAYER

Father, please save me with your mighty hands.
