Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

MESSAGE

Today we continue to consider the name of God “El Shaddai”. We have laid a foundation yesterday to prove that God can do what is naturally thought impossible. We must really consider like David in Psalms 8 the works of His hands, the sun, the stars, the moon, the glory and splendours of every wonder of our God. The creativity we see in the entire cosmic realm is unbeatable, unsearchable, and undeniable such that only the fool will deny the existence of the Almighty God.

God sits in Heaven and rules over every affair of men. When the limit of man stops, He steps in to give a miracle. In the world today, there are so many impossibilities in the medical field, modern science, and other areas of human endeavours. Some disease is incurable and some conditions a consider irreversible, but not with God.

In the Bible, we have seen so many beautiful stories of God’s Almighty power defying impossibilities. For example, we read of the man who was dead and buried for four days, yet the Almighty God called Him forth to life (John 11). Is there anything dead or threatening to die in your life? The power of resurrection will restore them today in Jesus’ Name.

No matter how had the situation is with man, it is piece of cake with God who has all the power in heaven and earth. You simply need to call upon Him and you will see the greatness of His power displayed in your life.

In our reading portion of the day, we saw God’s Almighty power bring about the greatest miracle of all time. Mary was a virgin without any intimacy with a man, yet by God’s power, she became pregnant.  It’s a great wonder that is beyond medical science and human experience. Mary herself asked, “How is this going to be possible judging by the fact that I am a virgin?”.  The Angel’s response will make you glad that your condition is not permanent because the Almighty God is about to break all protocols and give you a miracle.

Luke 1:35

Never underestimate the power of God, simply act in faith and you will be a partaker of His mighty benevolence. Even when the promise God is making you is impossible with man, all you need to do is follow Him closely and see how great deliverance He will give you.

Is there any situation in your life that seems humanly impossible? Allow the almighty God to work in your life by first surrendering to Jesus if you are not yet saved and then calling upon Him. Your miracle is on the way.

REFLECTION

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

God is not in the class of man, with Him everything is possible.

Father, please step down into my situation and work out your great wonder in me.
