MESSAGE
Many times life may present some unpleasant situations to us. Times when it seems all dark and gloomy. You wonder if God was ever near at all or whether he had abandoned you to face it all alone. Anxiety, fear, and gloomy thoughts may overwhelm you and you may even despair for life. But here is God’s word to you this today, “You are precious to Me”.
The Lord pointed us to how valuable we are above the birds and lilies of the field. Listen to what he said about you:
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Matthew 6:26
The depth of love that the Father has is beyond what can be described. Paul the Apostle spoke of its depth, length, and bread as passing all knowledge. (Ephesians 3:18-19).
The Bible also expressed this love of God this way:
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1 John 3:1
You are a royalty of the heavenly bloodline, purchased with the precious blood of Christ. A chosen generation, a holy nation and a peculiar person who God has called to show forth His praise in this world (2 Peter 2:9).
No matter what you are going through at this moment, God is very much near and supplying grace to help in times of your needs. Don’t allow your present situation to overwhelm you and overpower your faith. Don’t forget that your heavenly Father who watches over you does not sleep nor slumber and He will not allow a single hair on your head to fall without His knowledge.
There is no doubt that God loved His children, however, the text of the day showed us that anyone who messes with you, messes with God. You are covered by divine insurance and no weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue that rises against you shall be condemned.
God will go to any length to defend you, keep you even in your storms, and give you peace like a river. Therefore be worried about nothing from henceforth, in every situation by prayer, supplication, and thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God (Philippians 4:6).
REFLECTION
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
Zechariah 2:8
You are the apple of His eyes, therefore you are precious to Him. Do not be afraid of what men will do to you, you are safe under his everlasting arms.
PRAYER
Father, thank you for your precious promises and for making me your precious child.
