MESSAGE
Just as we have our earthly family, everyone who has become saved from sin is adopted into the family of God.
Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.
Ephesians 1:5 NKJV
The Bible says that everyone who received Christ is given the absolute right to become God’s child (John 1:12). These are not born by the will of the flesh or man but by the will of God through the working of the Holy Spirit (John 1:13).
In this family, Christ is the firstborn, He is the heir of all things and all things are made by Him and for Him. He is the perfect Son and every other child in the family is the beneficiary of His selfless sacrifice. In Him, we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of our sins (Ephesians 1:7).
Every believer in Christ is joint-heirs with Him, having received His life and nature. God also put in us the Spirit of His Son by which we can call Him, “Father” (Romans 8:15-17). We have a great inheritance which is incorruptible and undefiled reserved for us in heaven (1 Peter 1:4).
God is the head of this family and he takes care of the children. Nothing good will He withhold from any of His children (Read Matthew 7:7-11). You can be sure that all things will work together for your good because you are safe under His everlasting arms.
In this family are joy, peace, and safety. The joy of the Lord becomes yours, and you will experience the peace that passes all understanding. All fear and anxiety are rolled away because Jesus our redeemer is with us to help us and uphold us with His right hand of righteousness.
Those who have received Christ have the unreserved privilege to access divine resources and blessings. God who did not spare His Son but freely gave Him up for our redemption will also give us all things we need for life and godliness.
Oh that the sinner might repent today and come into this family where the prince of peace is the Lord. Those who want peace with God must repent and confess their sins, they must also believe in Christ for their pardon. If you do this you will also be adopted into this family of God.
REFLECTION
God is not ashamed to be called our God and Father because He loved us and we are His children.
PRAYER
Father, thank you for making me a part of your family.
