MESSAGE

I want to write to you from my heart about what I perceive as God’s desire for you. There are endless possibilities in our God. The Bible says eyes have not seen it nor has anyone heard what God has reserved for those who loved Him (1 Corinthians 2:9-10).

These are the days when God is doing special work in the world and He needs loyal and faithful children who will with Him take the battle to the gates of His enemies.

You have heard of the great commission, but you may be ignorant about the state of the world and why you cannot fold your hands any longer. The world lieth in darkness and the evil one has kept many in bondage (1 John 5:19). The god of this world has blinded many so that they will neither hear nor obey the gospel.

As it stands today there are nations and peoples to possess for our God. There multitude who sits in the Islamic states and communist nations who have not heard the message of the gospel. Many people groups are yet to be contacted by modern civilisation and have no chance of hearing the gospel.

Among these are Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, and many religious people. They lack the saving faith but in most cases, they have no one to tell them about the love of God. More than 3 Billion people need to hear the gospel message. What will you do about this?

The command of Christ is simple, go ye into all the world and preach the gospel. How are you doing this? But beyond the command, there is a promise that you can possess the nations of the world. God promised to give those who ask Him the heathen for inheritance and the ends of the world for possession.

Here are three quick ways to be involved:
The most important is to pray: ask God who gives liberally for the salvation of peoples in nations. You can adopt a nation or people group to pray for. Jesus said, “Pray ye the Lord of the harvest, that He would send Labourer into His harvest”.

The next one to it that you must determine to go, you must be always willing to share your testimony of God’s saving grace in your community and be willing to go oversea if God should indicate so. Nations and people are waiting for you, please do not keep them waiting.

The third way is giving. You must begin to cultivate a given culture towards the work of global missions. I have always believed that every money a child of God has is for God’s kingdom and interest on earth.

Be determined today to be part of what God is doing in the world and be willing to take possession of nations which are desperately in need of hearing the gospel message.

REFLECTION

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

Romans 10:14 NKJV

There is a call to pray, to go, and to give. Will you obey so that you can possess nations or will you ignore it and be left out of what God is doing in your time?

PRAYER

Father, please give me the grace and strength required to play a more active role in the great commission.
