MESSAGE
Nothing moves in the heart of God than having all men saved and coming to the knowledge of the truth. Nothing burns in His heart above seeing many people from different tribes and ethnicity come to worship Him in the beauty of Holiness.
The love that God has for this world and His continuous effort to save her is not hidden but visible for all to see. God sent His only Son to die for the world. It is indeed true that the greatest proof of love is sacrifice and God would not hold back anything from the man He loved so dearly.
When the first man fell, it grieved the heart of God to see His creation fall into darkness. He knew that man is helpless and hopeless in Himself and needs a redeemer. Someone must die, it’s either man dies and is lost eternally or God sends His Son to die to avert the eternal damnation waiting for the man.
God chose the hardest option, it was the ‘love option’. His Son must die so that He would have many sons and daughters. Jesus describes this truth when He said,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
John 12:24 KJV
God knew all that it will cost, Jesus knew it would be life for life, blood for blood, and death for sin, so that we may live in Him forever. While we were yet without strength, still stuck in the web of our sins, the Lord Christ died for us (Romans 5:6).
There could be no greater love than these because He did not lay down His life for His friends but for we who are His enemies (Romans 5:10). A Man like Saul of Tarsus who was a persecutor and enemy of Christ encountered His love and it transforms His heart and life. He became an Apostle of Christ.
When Christ died, it was for the world and when He was leaving the world, He told us to go into all the world and preach the gospel. God loves the world, do you? Do you love those whom Christ loved enough that He died for them! Do you love those young men and women you call outcasts, Jesus loves them why not you?
The burden in God’s heart is that none should perish but that all would come to repentance (1 Peter 2:9). God is still working to bring more people out of the darkness. His heart burns for the souls of many who have not yet heard the good news.
Oh that you will respond and join the Lord’s army of missionaries today and go to those places where the Gospel still needs to be preached. They are still waiting, but for how long
REFLECTION
God’s burden for the world is clear, He desires that none be damned but that all will be saved from sin. God is counting on men who will take this burden and run with it.
PRAYER
Father, please let me contract your vision and burden for this lost world and help me to bring many out of darkness into the light of Christ.
