MESSAGE
In a very busy and buzzy world where everyone seems to be in a hurry, patience is lacking a virtue in our society. You will agree that if you are more patient, you will become a better person.
The world system is designed to frustrate the believer, the very reason why we must all trust God for more patience. Some people whose goal is to choke you up will do things that will irritate you, but if you are patient, you can weather the storm.
God knows that the Christian needs patience to obtain the eternal promise (Hebrews 10:36). The entire Christian race requires us to be steady and fixed. It could be tiring at times, that is why the Holy Spirit equips the believers with this great virtue of patience. When patience is fully developed, our faith will be boosted and enhanced. We will be able to endure hardship and learn to give thanks in our most difficult times.
God uses suffering to bring His children to a state of maturity. Our text of the day shows us that when we are tried or suffer, it produces the fruit of patience in us. Scripture spoke about the patience of Job and the end of the Lord. The road was rough but through patience, Job was able to recover all (James 5:11)
God gives us endurance when we suffer. That special ability needed to carry on in the Christian race without any damage. Patience is required to be a good believer living a life of righteousness in a corrupt world.
At every phase of our lives, God supplies the strength needed to go through our suffering. What God is doing is in you is very important, the process may long but filled with great gain. This process may be painful and many times it will be painful, but it is to make you into a fully formed vessel fit for His use.
REFLECTION
Patience is a great virtue that is released into our lives through the experience of suffering. This virtue is needed for us to be practical Christian.
PRAYER
Father, please help me to learn patience through every challenge I am faced with in life.
