MESSAGE
God is all-powerful and all-knowing. He is in charge and control of every situation. Nothing happens without His knowledge and He will not allow any of His children to suffer without an active purpose of good. We must always remember that God uses all things, situations and circumstances to do us good (Romans 8:28).
We are safe in His hands. Our God is a good Father and our saviour is a great shepherd. He jealously watches over us and will not even a strand of our hair falls to the ground without His knowledge (Matthew 10:29-30).
Truly we may not see the big picture, we may not be even aware of what God is doing but we can rest assured that He is on our side. Job never knew how proud God was because of his loyalty and commitment. He was not privy to the idea that God so much trusted him that He will not fail.
One lesson I learned very recently is that whatever the devil does in my life is part of God’s plans. As long as I have checked my life and there is no breach in my relationship with God. If God has allowed it, then it is for my good. Rather than whining or crying about it, I’d rather praise God for it. That does not take away the fact that it may hurt so badly, but God has everything under control.
Do you remember how God used the devil even in bringing His purpose of salvation to us? The Bible says that in God’s wisdom which beats down the wisdom of the princes of this world and their master the devil; He allowed Christ to suffer and die. But had they known that the death of Christ would result in eternal life for us, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory (1 Corinthians 2:8).
I still believed that the greatest mistake the devil ever made was allowing Christ to die. The devil thought by killing Christ, He has killed the heir to the throne, but what He didn’t know was that God through His death would bring many sons unto glory.
God wants you to see His sovereign love even in your trials. For Paul, He gave grace. He has also promised that in His faithfulness He will not let anything go wrong in your life without bringing out something new. Job lost everything but he also got double.
Though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, do not be afraid because He is with you to correct and comfort you. His ultimate plan is to take you to a place of overflowing anointing.
REFLECTION
Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure.’
Isaiah 46:10 NKJV
God knows about all your struggles, His counsel over your life will stand and He will perform His purpose.
PRAYER
Father, let your counsel and purpose for allowing any difficulty or trial in my life be fulfilled. Amen.
