For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 6:20 NKJV

MESSAGE

The Christian is not like any other person, he has been bought with a price – now his life no longer belongs to him but to Christ. Apostle Paul showed us what this life truly means in Galatians 2:20:

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 NKJV

All these means that you are now to live for the glory of Christ. Not even for yourself but everything for Christ. Our salvation cost so much, this new life we have received is not cheap, therefore we are to live godly and righteousness in this world.

If you think you can do whatever you like, then you are not yet a part of Christ. Christians who think they can keep living in sin have not seen the Son. The Bible told us that such will be abusing the grace of God and if such does not repent, he may run out of mercy (Romans 6:1-2).

No matter how rough your past may be; if you accept Christ, He will cleanse you and take ownership of you. He will give you a new heart, a new spirit, and His Holy Spirit.

He will also give you the grace to live above sin. Wherever you go, everyone should know that you are different, not because you told them but because of the way you live for Christ. You are special, you are a heavenly royalty, a peculiar person. You were not redeemed with perishable things such as silver and gold; but by the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and spot (1 Peter 1:18-19).

The price paid for you to be saved is much, therefore live your life for God in righteousness, purity, faith, and love.

REFLECTION

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.

Isaiah 43:1 NKJV

Everything about your life must tilt to glorifying Christ. In the end, you will be glorified with Him.

PRAYER

Father, please help to live daily in the consciousness of the fact that my life belongs to You.
