MESSAGE
Great is our God and He is greatly to be praised. When you think of His goodness and mercy over your life, you see that God deserves all the praise and honour. Praising Him is not limited to singing and dancing, but also making a joyful noise unto Him.
Let me first establish that making a joyful noise unto the Lord is a command to all the earth and nations. This is because our God is a great God, and a great King over all the gods of the earth. Everything was made by Him and for His pleasure.
The Bible says in the book of Revelation that the host of heaven sings and worships God who is sitting on the throne, and with a loud voice, they worshipped Christ (Revelation 5:5-14).
Today I want to give you a few reasons why you should make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Firstly, make a joyful noise because He is your strength (Psalms 81:1). The Bible calls God our refuge and strength, and our very present help in times of trouble (Psalms 46:1). It is God who has been fighting all your battles for him and when you make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all your enemies will be discomfited.
Another reason why you should make a joyful noise unto the Lord is because He is the rock of our salvation – we are saved because of His grace (Psalms 95:1). Think of what your life would have been if Jesus did not save you from your sins. Our God deserves the praise.
Make a joyful noise unto Him who is the Lord and King over all creation (Psalms 98:6). Therefore, anytime you come before His presence to offer thanksgiving, you can make a joyful noise to Him with Psalms (Psalms 95:2).
Oh that you would give God a shout of praise for all He has done for you and those things He will still do in your life.
REFLECTION
Shout to the Lord with a loud shout of praise and your joy will be full in Jesus’ name. Amen.
PRAYER
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
