MESSAGE
There are so many things that cause the human heart to worry. Some of them could be personal and family needs. Parents who need to provide for their kids as the new school year begins may have one or two things to think about.
No doubt the soaring prices of food, groceries, and energy bill is worrisome for many folks. But the Lord in the Beatitude charges us who believes not to worry or be afraid of the circumstances surrounding our lives.
Since by worrying we can solve no problems, and worrying is harmful to our health. Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
Matthew 6:27 NKJV
The Lord gave us the best standard practice for our daily living, which is not to be afraid or worried.
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
Matthew 6:31 NKJV
Scriptures further told us to seek God’s kingdom first and that every other thing will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). Another approach the Bible gave us is to lay all our needs before God in the prayer of supplication and thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6).
What are you worried about? Is it your finance, health, family, or business? God is saying to you today, don’t worry, I have it covered. Instead of worrying, allow God to work everything in your favour.
Those who are God’s children have nothing to fear because God will turn the troubles in their lives into great testimony. The Bible says that the righteous will not be ashamed in the evil times and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
Rather than worry about what you cannot change, give those things to the unchangeable God who can change all things.
REFLECTION
Instead of worry, trust the Lord with all the situations and he will lift all your burdens.
PRAYER
Father, I bring all the burdens of my heart to you, help me lift them and help me to live a worry-free life from today.
