Do not give your strength to women, Nor your ways to that which destroys kings.

MESSAGE
There are strict rules by which a king or royalty must live, which may not apply to other regular persons. That is the reason why you can not find a king brawling or yelling at someone – such an act will downgrade the honour of such a king because it belittles the throne and the kingdom.
The same principle applies to us believers, the word of God called us a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Also in the book of Revelation 1:6, the Bible says that Christ has made us kings and priests unto God. Now that you know that you are a king, certain characters and ways of life are not for you.
In our reading of the day, there is a counsel on how kings should live their lives. Today we will look at the first instruction, which is “don’t give your strength to women”. It means no room for sexual promiscuity.
See how the passion translation puts it: So keep yourself sexually pure from the promiscuous, wayward woman. Don’t waste the strength of your anointing on those who ruin kings— you’ll live to regret it!

The Good News Bible further summarises that verse this way: Don’t spend all your energy on sex and all your money on women; they have destroyed kings.

Summarily, even if you are a king, strange women will destroy your destiny. The Bible says that such women have destroyed great kings. Never forget how a strange woman snuffed out Samson’s anointing and power. The same is true of Solomon who got God angry because of strange women (1 Kings 11).
You will be ruining your life if go hanging out with strange men and women. Are you willing to pay the ultimate price for your lifestyle? The wages of sin is death, but the rich gift of God is eternal life to those who believe.
Repent today and ask the Lord to make you a new person.
REFLECTION
For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David.

Sexual sin is not for you, because kings don’t go about looking for cheap sexual gratification. You are a Son to the King of kings, so, live-out that life.
PRAYER
Father, please help me live out the correct life of Christ daily. May I not bring shame and disgrace to the name of God.
