MESSAGE
Apart from the fact that God will not hear the prayer of a saint when he commits a sin and refuses to expose them to God’s mercy, such will be living under the cruel whip of his guilty conscience.
It is important to know that covered or unconfessed sin brings a person failure in life. Proverbs 28:13 says that if you cover your sins, you will not succeed, except you confess and forsake them.
One of the greatest delusions of the devil is to make you think that if you confess that fault or sin you will look less before people. But this comes at the cost of your emotional stability. The torture of the soul. Every message the preacher preaches seems to be aimed directly at you, you lose your peace and confidence to stand before God and men.
In short, it is hell on earth. It is better you expose that sin and have peace, rather than allow the enemy to keep your mind tortured. The truth is that there is no peace for the wicked and as long as you are covering your sins you will lose your peace and joy.
David in our text of the day spoke about the torture of unconfessed sin. According to him, when he kept silent about his sin, he was under a heavy hand day and night. In short, he was under serious torture until he acknowledged and confessed his sins.
In the first and second chapters of our readings, he spoke about the blessedness of not having the guilt of sin. The peace and confidence that follows when God covered his sins.
Though certain confessions may be hard, you must trust God and seek godly counsel on how to go about them. Until you make up your mind to deal with that issue, you continue to deal with the torture that comes with it.
When you expose that sin to God and confess it to men, it becomes God’s responsibility to cover and forget it. He has promised not only to cover your sins but not to ever remember them again.
Beloved, expose that sin and stop allowing the enemy to mess up with your mind and torture your soul. There is freedom from fear and anxiety when you confess that sin.
REFLECTION
Unconfessed faults may result in sickness and diseases. Confession and prayer will result in healing.
PRAYER
Father, give me the courage and wisdom to expose every sin in my life and around me from today.
