Prayer Changes Things

Text: Esather 3:13 KJV

Further Reading: Esther 4:1-17

And the letters were sent by posts into all the king’s provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even upon the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to take the spoil of them for a prey.

Esther 3:13 KJV

MESSAGE

When we speak of prayer, many Christians are still yet to grasp the full power of prayer. The day you realise how potent prayer is, that day you will covet a strong prayer life.

We have a loving Father who gives liberally and is willing to give to those who ask Him in prayers. He is willing to change those hard situations and turn them around only if we pray.

We face are faced with unprecedented problems in the world and the church and unless the Christians pray, situations will go from bad to worse. Think about the economic hardship that is destroying many people today, the war and the pandemic that has killed many – only prayer can turn the tides for good.

God said if we, His people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14 NLT

Until we pray, there can be no tangible change in our nations. God’s expectation over the Christian is that we would take authority and pray for the deliverance of our nations. God can change those situations in your nation if you can pray.

In our text and reading of the day, we saw how prayer changed what was supposed to be evil into good. When the people fasted and prayed, God took up the battle and fought for His people.

Don’t shut your mouth over that medical report, don’t just accept poverty and lack, pray today and God will change those situations and turn it around for your good.

REFLECTION

Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

Genesis 25:21 NKJV

The barrenness in the family of Isaac was changed when he prayed. God gave them double for their shame in the end. Place that daunting problem before the Lord in prayer today and you will see how He would answer you with a great testimony following.

PRAYER

Father, step into the affairs of my life and cause me to experience all round positive change in my life and family.
