Do You Love Him?

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

MESSAGE

Sacrifice is the greatest proof of God’s love for us. He showed us this example by giving His only Son to die for our sins (John 3:16). On the other hand, we must prove that we love him. Scripture says that we love Him because He first loved us. This love can not be by mouth but by deeds.

Therefore, our most important proof that we love Him (Christ) is our obedience to His instructions. It is not in what we give in church or towards missions, but in our day-to-day obedience to His voice.

Imagine a parent who has sacrificed greatly for a child, and such a child walks up to the parent and says, dad, I love you but I won’t obey you. Does that child love the parent? Do you say Jesus I love you? Proof it by your obedience to Him.

The Lord said in our text of the day that if you truly love Him, then you must obey Him, I.e the person who obeys Christ is the one who loves Him, not the one who works for Him. It means that the true test of loyalty and love to Christ is obedience.

Note: Christ is not asking you to do what He Himself has not done. The Bible recorded that being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Philippians 2:8 KJV

Those who are obedient to Christ will receive the full manifestation of Christ in th this world and in the world to come.

Make a serious commitment to Christ from today by fully obeying him and you will receive overflowing blessings. Amen.

REFLECTION

But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do.

John 14:31 KJV

Start obeying the word of God diligently from today and you will receive his blessings.

PRAYER

Father, please help me to obey you in all things.
