MESSAGE

Some doors will remain shut except the believer persist in knocking at the doors of heaven for immediate action. God is also not wicked but sometimes He wants to see the proof of intent (how serious we are about what we are praying for).

I have learnt one lesson from children, they are persistent in asking. Until you have honoured their request, they will not allow you to rest. This is the same principle of continuous knocking at the doors of heaven for your blessings.

Many believers are lazy and mere wishers. They just which everything but hardly persists over any matter in the place of prayer. The Bible says that when you seek Him with all your heart, you will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13).

Treasures are not found on the surface, men dig into the holes of the earth to find them. How much effort then is required to possess the eternal treasures of God? Don’t think it will come cheap, it will come at the cost of consistent and persistent prayer to God. Note that the more you want to receive from God, the deeper you must seek Him. David gave us an example in Psalms 42:1-2. He spoke about his longing for God. How desperate are you for God? How desperate are you for those divine realities of God? Then you must knock harder at heaven’s doors.

In our text of the day, the Bible told us about the woman of Canaan who would not say No, until she got her miracle. She just kept knocking on the door of divine healing until there was a release.

Are you seeking anything from God? Keep knocking until you get it. Do not give up and simply fold your hands – pray! He can do more than you can ask or think if only you will persist in knocking. The door will be opened soon if you don’t stop.

REFLECTION

And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

Luke 18:7 KJV

Keep knocking at those doors that seems to he shut, God will send you help.

PRAYER

Father, please help me and give me the strength to be persistent in prayer from today.
