MESSAGE
The Lord told us about two ways, one leads to eternal damnation, and the other to eternal life. The first is the broad way. This according to the Lord is the way that leads to destruction. It is the way of the many, the way of the world that leads to death. The broad way is the popular and easy way. According to proverbs 14:12, it looks right but the end is death.
One of the things that makes this way popular is worldliness. Christians who take this way also go the way of the world in passion. They forsake the warning of God that we must not love the world (1 John 2:15). By following the worldly fashions, worldly entertainment, and everything the world offers, these Christians make themselves God’s enemy (James 4:4).
Today we have many broadway churches where there is no message of true holiness and discipline. Ladies dressing to kill and lust dominate the hearts of men.
Those who travel this way tell you that God is not interested in their dressing but in their heart. So they dress like Jezebel and ensnare many. They dont mind soaking themselves in pleasure and worldly amusements – these are they who travel the broadway. They are full of greed, covetousness, and other works of the flesh.
On the broadway, the love of money is a side attraction. Though the Bible calls it the root of all evil, those on the broadway continue to love money and in the process pierce themselves with much sorrow.
Many Christians who travel this path are merely religious, they have not met Jesus who is the way, the truth, and the life. They have not had a personal encounter with the One whose name is Holy.
Which way are you currently going on? If it is the way of convenient, self-indulging, sin-approving, self-exalting, money-loving Christianity, then you heading the wrong way. That way leads to death, but the way to life is narrow.
REFLECTION
There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.
Proverbs 16:25 NKJV
Those who are not born again or walking the broad way must retrace their steps back to Christ today. Without Him, there is no way to eternal Life. Chose Christ today and chose life.
PRAYER
Father, please keep me on the narrow path to eternal life.
