Measure Of Faith

Text: Romans 12:3 NKJV

Further Reading: Acts 6:1-15

For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

Romans 12:3 NKJV

MESSAGE

The level of faith differs from person to person. Though all men have a measure of faith. How much faith you have will determine how much you will know and get from God. You can be rich or poor in faith. Since faith receives from God, it is important to ask the Lord to increase your faith.

Some people are rich in faith, of such people is the centurion – When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!
Matthew 8:10 NKJV

Another fellow rich in faith was the woman with the issue of blood, the remark of Jesus was that her faith made her well.
But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, “Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.
Matthew 9:22 NKJV

No believer must be content with little faith. Jesus rebuked the disciples of little faith, this means that He want the measure of your faith to increase in an usual way (Matthew 8:26).

Think of stephen, he was ordained a deacon but the Bible says that he was full of faith. He was able to do what some apostles could not do.  Stephen became so relevant in the agenda of God that saw the resurrected Lord. Don’t settle to be an ordinary christian with a little measure of faith, God is willing to give you more, so strive to upgrade your faith.

Here are two ways in which a believer can increase the measure of faith in him.
The first is to steadilly ready and maditate upon the word of God.
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17 NKJV

The second is to persistently pray in the Spirit.
But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Jude 1:20 NKJV

If you will constantly practice studying the word of God and praying, you can be sure that your faith will be increased.
