MESSAGE
We know that darkness and light can never coexist. God’s word confirms that when darkness was having its way in the beginning God called forth the light and darkness could not comprehend it (John 1:5). In the same light, grace (light) and sin (darkness) cannot coexist
Sin is bondage while Grace is freedom. How then would anyone have a combination of both? It is because you have not known the truth, once you know th truth, you will be free (John 8:32).
Just like many questions that the Holy Spirit forward in the Bible, this one is unique – “is it possible to be free from sin and be bound at the same time? Can you be dead to sin and live in it still? God forbid the scripture says. God will not condone defeat but victory and liberty over sin” – (Romans 6:1-2).
In our reading of the day, God’s word says that there is no fellowship between righteousness and unrighteousness. That is why when you are walking in the grace of God some sinful people will not be comfortable. They may label you as a fanatic for your uncompromising stands but they cannot deny the true grace of God in your life.
Are you still comfortable with old friends and habits while claiming to be under the grace of God? There is no truth in you. Those who have come into God’s grace lose their appetite for the old habits and lifestyles that kept them in bondage.
Our God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. You cannot have the light of the world in you and be living in darkness. Therefore I charge those who are not yet saved to receive the grace of God by accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Jesus is the grace giver and He will give you His grace today.
The word of God said, Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”
II Corinthians 6:17 NKJV
REFLECTION
Grace is deliverance not bondage. Those who are under grace will no longer be bound by sin but will be living a victorious life of grace.
PRAYER
Father, please let your grace be sufficient for me.
