He Knows You 3

Text: Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV

Further Reading: Luke 5:1-10

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV

MESSAGE

A man may have some pretty good plans for his life and be pursuing them with diligence and still be frustrated. However, a man following God’s plan will never be frustrated even in the face of daunting challenges.

Another way to prove that God knows you is the fact that He has a plan for your life. Before Jeremiah was ever formed in Mother’s womb, the All-Knowing God had planned his life to become a prophet unto nations (Jeremiah 1:5). If Jeremiah attempted to pursue any other path, he would end up a failure.

Just the same way God knew the future of Jeremiah, He knows yours too and He has a master plan that you must follow.
Our God is a master planner and all His plans for you are good. He confirmed this in our text of the day by saying that he plans to give you an expected end.

Take Peter as a case study. Before Jesus ever met Peter He knew him. There was a plan for Peter’s life. God’s plan was for him to be a fisher of men but he was a common fisherman. If not for the encounter that Peter had with Jesus, he would have ended up a shadow of what God had planned for him (Luke 5:1-10). Except you also have a similar encounter, there is a chance that you are doing the wrong job, married the wrong spouse, or pursuing the wrong course. Everything you may be doing right now will be wrong.

God has a perfect plan for your life, but you must encounter the Master Planner Jesus Christ, and invite him to the boat of your life so that you can fulfill God’s plan for you.

Peter became so great that many souls were saved in his ministry, many sick were healed, the dead raised and the apex of it was that His shadow was healing the sick (Acts 2:41; 4:4; 5:12-16). Peter fulfilled God’s plans for his life, and so can you.

All the exploits that Peter did for God began with that first encounter with the Lord. Though he faltered at a point, he was restored back to the plan of God for his life. Did you start your journey with Jesus but a time faltered like Peter? Cry unto Jesus today just as Peter cried, repent from your sins and He will restore you back to His original plan for your life.

REFLECTION

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

Isaiah 55:8 NKJV

Before Peter met Jesus, he was a frustrated fisherman, he had toiled all night, but caught nothing. But the moment he met the Lord and entered into divine purpose, an end came to frustration. Come to Jesus today and He will put an end to every frustration in your life.

PRAYER

Father, please help me to fulfill your plans for my life in Jesus.
