MESSAGE

In a world filled with tumult and chaos and peace seems to elude many, what sets the Christian apart is the peace of God which assess understanding. Have you ever wondered why amid the greatest crisis in the world or around you, you are at peace? While everyone is restless and agitated, Jesus gives us the believers peace like a river.

There is nothing like having peace amid the storms. Yet when we are faced with great storms in our family, business, finance, and other areas of our lives, Jesus still gives us peace. We are sure that as long as Jesus is with us, He will command peace and there will be a great calm (Mark 4:39)

How often do you thank Jesus for the peace He has given you on multiple occasions? Lack of peace in so many lives and families has led to divorce, depression, suicide, and other mental issues, but God has kept you in perfect peace whose heart trust in Him.

In our text of the day, the Bible called Jesus the prince of peace. This means that when you have Jesus you will have peace. Peace is not gotten by money or position but by having Jesus. This is why your salvation is precious. You may not have all the money in the world but you can live without anxiety. Jesus does not only give peace but guarantees peace.

The essence of this particular message is to open your eyes to the benefit of peace that you have in Jesus. Just like David said in Psalms 103:2, don’t forget his benefits. Though you may have tribulations and troubles in this world, Jesus assures you that you should be of good cheer because He has overcome the world.

In Jesus’ final He gave another promise to you:
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:27 NKJV

Jesus is the one fighting for you while He gives you peace (Exodus 14:14). Why don’t you thank Him today for His peace?
