MESSAGE

Digging a spiritual well is not only about praying but praying with the word of God. Many Christians spend the best of their time on prayer mountains but get no result because they are not praying with the word that has been written. The greatest way to beat the devil is to throw the word of God at him.

It was the best method that our Lord Jesus showed us, and is proven to be perfect. How much of the word of God do you know? How far have you dug in your personal study to gain divine revelations? What about those things that are yet to be seen locked up in the scriptures, have you dug them out for your generation?

This is a great challenge to us in our days of fast life but low spritual life. It’s either we sit or we are sitted by the devil. The Apostles of old knew this trick, that was why they said in our text of the day that they will give themselves continually to the ministry of prayer and the word of God.

The Bible called the word of God our most potent offensive weapon.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
Ephesians 6:17 NKJV

How often do you use it?

God told Joshua in Joshua 1:8 that if he must succeed then he must prioritize God’s word. God told Joshua to keep digging day and night until He receives the light that brings success. Let me tell you, there are mystries in the Word of God that will terminate the misery in your life. You must dig them out.

Any Christian who will succeed in this age must study the scripture and be approved by God. He can not be lazy nor take God’s word with levity.

To show you the full extent of the power in the word of God, God said, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 NKJV

How far are you digging into the word of God? Dig more!

REFLECTION

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15 NKJV

The word of God is life, keep digging into the word until it comes alive in you. Be diligent and consistent in studying and applying God’s word to your life and great testimonies will be visible in your life.

PRAYER

Father, please give the strenght to be a diligent student of the Word of God.
