MESSAGE
One of the most compelling truths about anyone who has come to Jesus as established yesterday is that God made the original choice. God conceived every bit of our lives from conception to birth.
The Psalmist puts it this way:
You formed the way I think and feel. You put me together in my mother’s womb. You could see my bones grow as my body took shape, hidden in my mother’s womb. You watched my body grow there. In your book ,you wrote about all the days planned for me before any of them had happened.
Psalms 139:13, 15-16 ERV
There is no doubt that God chose you, but more intriguing still, He chose what you will become. In Ephesians 1:4, the Bible says that God conceived you just as a sculpture conceives a masterpiece so that you can be holy and walk blameless before Him.
In our text of the day, the Bible makes it clear that God knew you even before you are formed in your mother’s womb. He even has the best idea of what career you will take. That detail of your life has been written also. God chose you for a particular purpose and you must discover it. Those who do not discover their purpose will keep going through an endless toilsome circle of life that leads to emptiness and futility.
The blueprint of your life is in His hands, that is why you must go to Him for direction before making any choice or decision for your life. If God has chosen you to be a teacher, it would be a waste of time to be running around trying to be a doctor. But do you know Him who has got your entire life’s map in His hands?
Do you have a personal relationship with Him? Do you know His words, do you hear His voice? If not you will only be journeying in life without direction and His purpose for your life will not be fulfilled.
REFLECTION
Jesus chose you, but have you chosen Him?
PRAYER
Jesus, I chose you today with all my heart and everything within me.
