MESSAGE
The pain many people go through is not necessarily born by them but a result of suffering by someone close to them. We have seen how Mary and Martha had to endure grief and loss because their brother was sick and died. Similarly, many people today go through serious emotional and physical distress causing them to cry to God for help.
My prayer is that Joy will come into their lives today in Jesus. Who can better understand this kind of emotional pain than the widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7? She was desperate for help, this woman had nothing but a pot of oil and the creditor are out there to make her sons slaves. So, she cried to the man of God for help, the Lord helped her and she had enough in the end.
Many parents have had to sell properties and other possession to care for a special or ailing child. They have run from pillar to post with any significant change. If such will cry to Jesus for help today, something miraculous will happen to you today.
In our text of the day, we saw the plight of a father whose son was taken over by demons, thank God he went to God for answers. After crying to Jesus for help, his son was healed. That is why you should rest assured that God will help you and you will experience great relief from that stubborn problem.
Your situation can not be as worse last it was in Samaria in 2 Kings 6:26-30. The famine was so bad that people were boiling their children to survive, yet in 24 hours God brought about a surplus. The Lord sent help to that city and every scarcity was ended. Will you learn to rest in the Lord rather than worry your mind? He will help you and you will not be ashamed over your children and family.
Everyone who has cried to Jesus for help because of their children have found help. These include people considered sinners and unworthy. In Matthew 15:21-28, the Bible recorded the story of a woman who literally begged her way into a miracle for her daughter. Though she was an unbeliever so to say, because she cried to Jesus in faith, she got her miracle.
Don’t forget that every child of God is a privileged son and daughter, they have more access to divine help. Therefore you cry to God for help over your children and other aspects of your life. Even bad parents gives the good things of life to their children, how much more God your Father. He will help you and give you an uncommon testimony (Matthew 7:9-11).
REFLECTION
Give us help from trouble, For the help of man is useless.
Psalms 60:11 NKJV
No man can help you, turn your eyes upon Jesus for help. Even if a man attempts to help, they can not go beyond the ability of man. Simply hand over your case to Jesus and He will deal with it.
PRAYER
Father, please give me help from trouble.
