For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

MESSAGE

Someone may ask, why do I need revival now? Yes, the world is a mess, and there is chaos everywhere but I am still a decent Christian even though nothing supernatural seems to be happening around me. The truth is that there is nothing normal about Christianity. The church was birthed in fired and must only be sustained by fire.

The early apostles were men on fire, they were not empty talkers like many of us today. That is why you hear a brother like Paul declare with the full of the authority of the Holy Ghost that they are not for talks but for demonstration of God’s power.

And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.
I Corinthians 2:4 NKJV

Men like Paul knew that without signs and wonders, many will not believe. So they mightily possess the power of God. The record of Phillip is another matchless proof that we need God to revive us now. This lone deacon took up a city and turned it upside down for God. He was just a brother, not an apostle but with the power of Jesus. Praise the Lord.

Beloved, there is a need to go back to the drawing board. Any Christianity without demonstration of the power of God is either powerless empty religion or is run by ignorant individuals who do know not the power of God. But the truth is that gospel has power, and God wants you to exercise it.

It is an insult that your community is turning into dens of criminals and a bunch of godless buffons while we are content with our nicely air-conditioned churches and homes. You can possess your community for Christ, so also is your nation available for possession. All you need to do is to believe God’s word and ask for nations for your possession (Psalms 2:8).

Today, I am persuaded that you will rise to the challenge and engage God to release upon you a fresh baptism of the Spirit. May you receive it now and be revived in Jesus’ name. Amen.

REFLECTION

And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

Acts 4:31 NKJV

You need to pray today, we need another Pentecost, we need a revival, and it is now or never. God can move again, and God wants to move again, but will you let Him move through you?

PRAYER

Father, I release my life to your a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit today. Fill me till I overflow in Jesus’ name. Amen.
