Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

Genesis 3:7 NKJV

MESSAGE

To better understand what God’s glory means, we must look closely at the first man and woman. The Bible says that the man and his wife were naked but they were not ashamed. This was because they God covered by them with His glory.

Notice that in our text of the day that the moment Adam and Eve sinned, the glory was lifted and they became naked. They lost the glory of God.  That is why the Bible says all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).

Beloved, the glory of God covers a man’s nakedness. Whether physical or spiritual nakedness, a man walking with God will always be covered with His glory. This is possible because no one can stand against His glory.

Think about the glory of the sun in its strength, it is impossible for any object to come close or it will melt away. However, the glory of the sun is nothing compared to God’s glory. Any enemy that comes against a child of God will melt away.

The glory of God as a coverage keeps a man from destruction and the power of His enemies. Anyone living in sin will only be a victim and not a victor. The glory of God serves as the shadow of the Almighty. According to Psalms 91,

The believer who abides of this shadow will have God as his refuge and fortress. God will be his deliverer from whatever attack the enemy throws at him. To continue to enjoy this glory, you must continue to live a holy life.

The glory of God will only preserve God’s people, are you one?

REFLECTION

who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Hebrews 1:3 NKJV

Jesus is the glory of God personified. Anywho who have Jesus is a possessor of God’s glory (Colossians 1:27).

PRAYER

Please let your glory cover me and my family this season and always. Amen
