Not A Liar

Text: Numbers 23:19

Further Reading: Numbers 23:19-24

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

Numbers 23:19 NKJV

MESSAGE

One attribute of God that every believer can rely on is truth. As a matter of fact, Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6). It means that God can not lie. Scriptures says that this is impossible:

“That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.”
Hebrews 6:18 NKJV

However scripture pointed clearly that there is one big liar and even the father of lies who is the devil. Satan is out there deceiving so many people with the vanities of life and even confusing the saints. We must however be rest assured that the Truth (Christ) will prevail at all cost.

One of my favorite Bible verse is that God will be true and every man will be a liar (Romans 3:4). To me, God is reliable and we can trust His words. Whenever God promise, the Bible says that He is faithful to do what He promised.

In fact, because of His integrity, He will even surpass what He has promised. Believers can find great relief in His words when faced with tempestous battles of life. He has promised that when we go through the fire or water, He will stand true and be with us. He promised never to allow us to be victims but victors.

We can be sure that God is trustworthy, He has been tested and found to be dependable. He so reliable and He will do what He says He will do. Has God promised you something and it looks as if you may never get it? Relax,  He will do what He says He will do. You can rely and depend on His word.

One thing you must however avoid is sin, you must avoid it with all your life. You must run from it because it can make God change his mind from doing what He says He will do. Other than this, you can certainly rely on God’s word for your life.

REFLECTION

“And now, O Lord God, You are God, and Your words are true, and You have promised this goodness to Your servant.

2 Samuel 7:28 NKJV

God’s promises will be performed in your life. You can trust His words.

PRAYER

Father, Please fulfill all your promises for my life today in Jesus’ name. Amen.
