MESSAGE
Even if it looks as if it delays, you can be sure that God will do what He says. Even if it looks impossible, you must never forget that with our God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37). We deal with a God who does what He says He will do. He is not a man who would lie, Truth is His nature.
Whatever vision or promise He has given you will surely come to pass. This is because His words say so. In Habakkuk 2:3 the Bible says, For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.
Habakkuk 2:3 NKJV
In our reading of the day, we saw God fulfilling His promise to Abraham after many years. At a time when it looked as if it will never happen again, God came and did what He promised to do. What is that thing that God promised you and it seems to be eluding you? Keep trusting in God and learn the way of Abraham.
The Bible says that contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”
Romans 4:18 NKJV.
Also, He was fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Romans 4:21 NKJV. Abraham’s conviction was based on the word of God and rightly so. It is because once God speaks it is done.
In Isaiah 55:11, God said, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
You can take God at His word, He will do what He says He will do because He is faithful and True.
REFLECTION
God never fails, He will do what He says. Hang on and keep believing.
PRAYER
Father, Please give me the grace to keep trusting your word even when all around me suggest otherwise Jesus’ name. Amen.
