MESSAGE
The song “He’s got the whole world in his hands” is another way to describe God’s control over everything in nature and around us. Yesterday we were bold to declare that God is still in control. He has not left His throne for the devil to rule.
Not only is God in control, but He has also made us through Christ Jesus kings and priests so that we can reign on earth (Revelation 5:10). Believers must never allow the challenges of life to sway them from the persuasion that God is in control.
The reaction of the disciple to the storms shows the natural response of us humans when challenges come up.
“And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?”
Mark 4:38 KJV
It looked to me that these very overwhelmed disciples thought there is no hope except Jesus’ intervention in the situation. They even accused Him of negligence and lack of care, but we know that Jesus is in control even of the storms of life.
Do you know that even in the face of death, God is still in control? No situation could be as worse as that of Lazarus who was dead and buried for four days. Because God was in control, the dead man came back to life. Your life situation can never be beyond the reach of God who is the highest.
Even in the dry bones, God was in control, the bones came together and became a great army. The other beautiful thing is that God wants to use you to exercise His control in the realm of men just as He used Ezekiel (Ezekiel 37:1-10). Will you avail yourself to be used bu God for this glorious task? The choice is yours.
REFLECTION
God is in control of every event and situation and you can trust Him to turn your story around and make you a testimony in this generation.
PRAYER
Father, please make my life a great testimony of your glory in this generation. Deliver me with your outstretched right arm.
