MESSAGE

Growth is an essential part of the human life. We live each passing day of our lives and grow. As we grow, we get older, and the older we get the closer we are to the grave. That is why we must trust God to teach us to number our days. Numbering keeps our hearts on the path of knowledge.

How we spend our lives will determine the outcome that life throws at us. The Bible says that what a man sows, is what he will reap (Galatian 6:7). When we number our days, we will learn to sow the right things into our lives.

Beloved how old you are does not matter but what you have done with the years. The Bible says that the value of a man is not measured by the number of things he possesses (Luke 12:15). Likewise, the value of a man’s life is not measured by how long that individual lives but by the quality of life.

At a point in my life, towards one particular birthday I said to myself, “Even if die now, I have lived a good life”. I realized that the value of a life is measured by its impact, not age. While celebrating and counting our age as years pass by, we must also live with a mind to making positive changes in our generation.

A man like Methuselah lived longer than his contemporaries but there was nothing to show for it. But a man like Enoch lived a brief life that entered into the books of God to men. The real lesson to learn is that as we grow older, our hearts will tend more to the path of the knowledge of God.

How have you lived your life? Have you lived a fulfilled life or anyhow? Is your age commensurate to the value you have added to people’s life or you are still as you are? Live to be a change maker. Live a good life and you will be celebrated both in time and eternity.
