You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

John 15:16 NKJV

MESSAGE

One of the greatest desires in God’s mind is to see all men saved and come to the knowledge of the truth about His love for mankind. That is why He has been delaying judgment upon a sinful generation. Some however have claimed that God does not mean the judgment the Bible declares He will dish out to sinners, but the word of God says that,

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
II Peter 3:9 NKJV

Although God is exercising patience with the entire humanity, every day, millions of people run out of mercy and end in ageless eternity without hope and God. This is not God’s desire but can be traced to the negligence of Christians who suppose to go and share the good news of Christ with them.

Many of these people died without hearing about Jesus and as scripture says: How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
Romans 10:14 NKJV

Those who suppose to tell them about their immortal souls are either busy doing one thing or the other, they are mindless of the souls of those who otherwise may wake up in eternal damnation. Are you such a person who has been ignoring the call to reach out to the lost around you? How often do you participate in the great commission or is it a commission to you?

Notice in our text of the day that only when you go out in soul-winning that you can pray and get immediate answers. God said when you produce an abiding soul, nothing you asked God will be denied you. It shows that we have been robbing ourselves of blessings because we have been mindless of God’s kingdom priority which is to bring all men to Christ.

We must repent or He will spew us out of His mouth, we must engage so that many more will not sink into eternal hell, we must reach out so that our blessings will be released to us. When we seek God’s kingdom first, He will take care of our own business. Not doing it will only bring us into a total disaster.

REFLECTION

but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

Jude 1:23 NKJV

The command to go into the world and save souls is an emergency, don’t take it for granted. Until you fulfill the condition of abiding fruitfulness in soul-winning, you may not enjoy divine blessing in other areas of your life.

PRAYER

Father, please renew my passion for souls and help me to reach out to the lost around me.
