And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment.

Matthew 9:20 NKJV

MESSAGE

One of the major storms that hit people today is sickness and diseases. This last pandemic is one obvious case that puts so many people in serious heartache. So many healthy people who never thought they would ever break down found themselves at their weakest point.

The story of the woman with the issues of blood is a classic example of what a health storm could mean. The Bible recorded that this woman who to some extent was wealthy spent all she had on a disease that defies medications. After she had spent all she had and left by her husband, one can tell that this woman had no more chance to live except God stills that storm.

Many people are like that woman, the enemy sends health storms into their lives and they have not recovered. To some, it could be cancer, cardiovascular disease, or any other medical condition that may defy medical interventions. Instead of thinking of commuting suicide or asking for medically assisted suicide, you can do what that woman did.

She made up her mind to go to Jesus the Master over storms. Christ was her last hope and so she mustered all the faith remaining in to touch Jesus. Do you notice that she was healed instantly? Yes! She was. Jesus also wants to heal you.

You must understand that sickness is not God’s will for you. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
III John 1:2 NKJV

Sickness is one of the works of the devil which is to steal, kill, and destroy. But Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil by giving you abundant life. You can take that sickness or disease to Jesus and He will command peace to that raging storm of sickness in your life.

No sickness can escape Jesus who by His stripes we are healed.

REFLECTION

He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

Psalms 107:20 NKJV

All Jesus needs today is to speak to the storms confronting your health, why not take that health issue to Him in prayer today?

PRAYER

Father, please still every storm facing my health today in Jesus’ name.
