MESSAGE
Deception is satan’s biggest trick to pull Christians down. Since the devil knows that it will be difficult to get you to arbitrarily sin against God. He will introduce deception so that gradually one begins to fall away.
The Bible admonished that we should put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
Ephesians 6:11 AMP
Also, we know that the enemy will masquerade to be an angel of light to deceive. He is a receiver and big liar and the father of lies. The devil tricks believers by contradicting the truth of God’s word with lies. If one is not conversant with God’s word, the fellow will be confused and may fall.
Do you remember how he came subtly to trick Eve in the garden? As a matter of careful observation, you must guard against any thought or voice questioning the instruction God has previously given you. Such may be that of the deceiver.
In our text and reading of the day, we saw how the spirit of lies entered into many prophets just to deceive the kings. Thank God for King Jehoshaphat who had discernment, he would have walked into his death. It is possible for satan to fill the heart of many so-called prophets and give them lies to confuse the believer.
Again, this is why it is important that you hear God for yourself and not wait for some prophets to tell you about your future. Christ died, rose again, ascended into heaven, and gave us the Holy Spirit who will show us all things and teach us. Every believer must learn to know His voice and listen to Him. By doing so, you will be getting out of trouble.
Don’t say, but he is a popular preacher and he does miracles. You must test all spirits including the instruction you are receiving from the Holy Spirit against the scriptures. This way, you can be free from the deception of the enemy.
