And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

MESSAGE

Some rich people hire heavy security details to protect themselves and their families, unfortunately, some of those people have been assassinated and killed despite their security apparatus. We have seen great politicians killed by their enemies though they are heavily guarded.

So what does this teach us? It is the basic truth that only God can truly keep and secure. It is only those who dwell in God’s secret place that can abide under His shadows where no evil can touch them.

For us believers, we know that God has given us promises to secure us. In Psalms 91:11, we know we have angels on assignment to keep us in all our ways. These invisible armies will keep us from all the dangers that the enemy may put our way.

These are the hosts of heaven they were with Elisha in our Bible reading of the day. Although this prophet had no bodyguard or security. He had divine security. When the young man began to panic at the sight of the enemy’s soldiers, all God had to do was open his eyes to see the many angels surrounding God’s servant.

In Psalms 34:7, the Bible said, The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.
Psalms 34:7 NKJV

This means that God has us covered, though some of us don’t have insurance coverage for ourselves, our properties, and our belongings, we have a heavenly Father who watches over us. He is so good at watching over us because he does not sleep nor does he slumber. There is no failure in heavenly security, therefore God’s children must learn to trust Him to keep us at all times.

Dear friend, are you a genuine child of God? Then don’t worry, God will keep you and all that is yours safe. Only ensure that you do not break the edge by dipping your hands into sin. You are guaranteed true and full safety in the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

REFLECTION

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright.

Psalms 20-7-8 NKJV

Those who trust in the arm of the flesh will be fallen but those of us who trust in Jesus will always rise. You can be sure of divine safety in Christ. Put all your trust in Him and allow Him to take care of you, you will be safe.

PRAYER

Father, I trust you completely, please take care of everything that belongs to me.
