MESSAGE
We have earlier established the goal of knowing these signs is not for us to enter panic mode but rather that we should be ready. The events highlighted in this series are designed to get us to a point of constant readiness. The question I must pose to you is, are you ready?
Unfortunately, many believers are still living as though these indicators are merely events without significance. Don’t live like such people, the Bible called them fools. In the parable of the Ten Virgins, the Lord told us about those five who were not ready and ended up being cast out (Matthew 25:1-13). May we not be cast away in Jesus’ name. Amen.
In light of these signs, what should believers do other than be ready? You must constantly win souls. Every one of us must call as many into the ark of salvation. You must preach the word of God both in and out of season (2 Timothy 4:2). There are still so many out there who have not yet heard the gospel message.
Also, you must pray. Jesus said that we must pray to the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into His field (Matthew 9:37-38). Every Christian needs to join efforts in praying for nations and peoples who have not received the gospel. This is because Jesus said,
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Matthew 24:14 NKJV
This means that until many unreached people are reached with the gospel, Jesus will not come. So, what? We have more work to do at this particular time. We must do everything possible to see to it that not only are ready but we get our families and others ready to catch our flight to glory. May God help you and you take up this challenge in Jesus’ name. Amen.
REFLECTION
Be ready and keep others ready for the coming of Christ. Pray, Preach, and be prepared because the coming of Christ is mear.
PRAYER
Father, please give me the strength to pray, preach, and be prepared for the coming of the Lord.
