MESSAGE
The greatest form of peace anyone can have is peace with God. All humanity as it stands are currently under the wrath of God and could face divine vengeance worthy of sin and sinfulness. Every sinner should really fear the prospect of facing thr judgment of God because none would can bear it.
How can a sinner who live under the cruel torture of his conscience have peace? How do you want him to escape the constant replay of his vileness by his own conscience? Such a fellow may attenpt to use drugs, alcohol or other substances to altar his mood temporarily but he can not escape his woes.
Often people misunderstand what it means by being heavy laden and being under burden as some material, physical, health, and other health challenges. The truth is that it goes beyond that. The burden a man under the weight of the guilt of sin carries is bigger than abytuing you can imagine. That is why such a fellow need to come to Jesus and rest.
Truly a man will never peace until he has surrendered to Jesus the giver of peace. That is why the Bible says that there is no peace for the wicked. Even if such a fellow had swallowed demons, once in a while he becomes restless as his memory reruns his vileness before him.
If you have not given your life to Jesus, don’t expect peace in any shape or form. It will only be a life of endless toil for you. In short, No Jesus, No Peace.
Finally, believers must avoid sin and sinning at all cost. It will rob you of the peace you have with God. Sin will only give you Adam-Syndrome, i.e. hiding from the presence of God. You will not be able to face God and ofcourse you will flee when one is on the chase.
Stay clear from sin, touch not the unclean things and you will continue the peace of God.
REFLECTION
The only conditon that can make you lose your peace as a believer is when you wallow in unrepented sin. Be warned!
PRAYER
Father, please help me to shun every form of sin that can rob me of my peace with God.
