MESSAGE
It is easy to trust the Lord when all things are going well. How should one not trust God when everything seems to be working and falling in pleasant places for one? It is natural to trust God and show one’s sheer confidence in Him. But what attitude do we take when things are not going our way? Do you still trust Him?
I want to say that the true test of our trust in God is when all things are falling apart around us and nothing seems to be working. Such times are the true test of our acclaimed trust in God.
Our human nature may and will cause our hearts to panic and fear before men sometimes. But if we trust God in the congregation of men, God will keep us from the evil and wicked tongues of men in His pavilion.
How do you think you are doing trusting in God in this very difficult economy? Are you still trusting the Lord for your supplies? You can’t afford to forget that He has promised to supply your needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Do you trust still when your health is adversely challenged? You shouldn’t quit trusting Him because He promised to send His word to heal you and also by His stripes you were healed (Psalms 107:20; 1 Peter 2:24).
How are you trusting Him during grief? Do you cast away your confidence in Him when He has promised to comfort you in your grief and never to leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5)
Whatever you are going through, you should always ask God for grace and never lose your confidence in Him. In any and every case, God will not leave or abandon you. In the end, He will come for you and grant you all the help you need.
REFLECTION
Resolve to trust God and His words during your trying times. You can be sure that He will come for you and in the end, you will have great victory.
PRAYER
Father, please help me trust you in my hard times especially when I am afraid. Help me Lord to with reckless abandonment trust in your salvation.
