In The Valley

Text: Job 1:20 KJV

Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped

MESSAGE

What do I do while going through my valley? Many believers have lost the victory that ought to be theirs because of the wrong attitude exhibited during the hour of their testing I.e. while going through their valley.

They allow their emotions which is natural to overwhelm their vision of the almightiness of God. They simply grumble and complain – one of the quickest statements they make is, Lord why me? They quickly forget God’s mercy and faithfulness in the past.

The Saints must be very careful, especially when the storms of life hit and they find themselves going through the valley. What we say matters, we must not offend God. Maintaining the right attitude during the valley gives a great advantage to victory.

We must always remember that God will not allow us to be tried beyond our capacity of faith. And that every valley leads to a victory – the mountain top experience. May we not miss the blessings that God has reserved for us in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

In our text of the day, the Bible tells us that a man who has lost everything fell down to the ground and worshipped God. Worship in the Valley? Yes! The Bible says that while Abraham was going through the valley of barrenness, he gave glory to God (Romans 4:20). Such disposition does not go unrewarded by God.

Job was going through the crisis of his life, he was in the deepest valley. In one day he had lost his wealth and his seven children had died, he had no reason to worship but grumble and complain, but he chose to worship God. God’s desire for us is to worship Him even in the valley. Not grumbling and complaining, because those who did perished in the wilderness. May we not perish in our valley in Jesus’ Name.

We have established that God is with us while going through the valley, thus, we must be confident and be rest assured that we are coming out with testimonies. It may be hard but we must be wise not to speak ill against God, rather we must keep trusting Him. Job said in his valley, I know my redeemer liveth. (Job 19:25). Do you know?

Let us take up the amour of worship and praises when we go through our valley. God knows how to see us through, he will not allow us to sink. We must steady our faith in Jesus, He will never fail us.

Be encouraged dear friend, give glory to God, and praise Him even in the valley.

REFLECTION

Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.

Job 13:15

Do you still trust Him in your valley? Are you not grumbling and about to shift your gaze from Him? If you have failed in this regard, please ask God to forgive you and help you to praise Him even in the valley.

God bless you and have a great day.
