Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

MESSAGE
What gives a man confidence and peace in the valley is the omnipotence of our living God. That our God is able not only to deliver us from the evil plot of the enemies also when he allows us to be caught up in their schemes. He will not only give assurance but peace which passes all understanding.
Our God is the God of all peace, the Bible says that Jesus is the prince of peace. It is worth noting that if God is for us we can go through the valley having incredible peace.
Many times the devil introduces anxiety to get the saint to stagger and lose his focus on God, we must keep on looking up to Jesus the Author and the finisher of our faith.
Nothing compares to having peace while in the valley, that Calm and assuring presence of God. No matter how dark the night is, God will give you peace in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
In our reading of the day, the enemies could not find fault against Daniel, He was a shrewd and diligent man, no fault could be in Him except His loyalty to the God of heaven. The plot was so smart and the king also fell for it, but our King of Kings is with His servant.
Daniel did what many of us would not do today, rather than compromising, he remain committed to his God. Dear friend, I urge you to be steadfast even in what looks like an evil plot to keep you out of the faith. Do not worry God knows how to keep you out of danger.
Daniel went on to pray as he usually does, he knew the consequence of his prayer, he had counted the cost – death. What gives a man peace even in the face of death? It is the indwelling and ever-abiding presence of God.
The sinner is afraid to die because he is not ready to face God, he has rejected peace and cannot know it. It is only when he comes to Jesus Christ that he can have peace. There is no peace for the wicked. (Isaiah 57:21). No Jesus, No Peace!
Daniel went into the valley of the shadow of death, and God was with him, he had the peace that is from above. God shut the mouths of the lions and he was not hurt.
God gives peace to His children in their valley, He does so that they may feel Him near them. How many of God’s noble martyrs have met their Lord with peace and radiance. You can also have peace in your valley. Peace is the greatest proof that God is with you in the valley.
Whatever your valley may be, the Lord will flood your heart this morning with His overwhelming peace. The same God that rescued Daniel will rescue you and put your enemies to shame in Jesus’ Name. Amen
Child of God, you can be assured of God’s presence with you amid your valley. You should thank God for giving you peace while going through the valley.
REFLECTION
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippian 4:6
Do not panic in the valley, God will supply you with His peace, and also carry you from the valley into your glorious future.
