MESSAGE
Grace is the unmerited favour of God to man. Those who are saved will tell you that it is simply by mercy and not merit or any kind of personal labour.
We are saved by grace through faith and this is not of our own selves, it is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8). This is the state of being blessed by God, though one deserves otherwise (Psalms 32:1-2).
The Scriptures says it is not because of what we did but according to His mercy, He saved us (Titus 3:5).
The work of redemption was done and dusted while we yet do not exist. Christ died for us who deserves to die ourselves while we were still in our sin, fuming and doing contrary to the will of God (Romans 5:8).
Grace cannot be taken for granted, it is very costly. Our redemption came at the cost of God’s own blood (1 Corinthians 6:20). God through grace has declared us not guilty, and much more, we are now His children.
In our text of the day, the Bible says, “But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord” – this is both thrilling and comforting. That God can look upon a man and save him in an entire generation.
Not by the work of righteousness, but Grace alone. Noah and his family were saved by Grace just as every believer who has come into Jesus Christ.
When a man finds grace with God, God singles him out for salvation, elevation, blessing and other physical and spiritual benefits.
Moses was a man who found grace with God and got what no other person has ever gotten. Moses rode upon the platform of grace to access the ways of God. Moses secured the presence of God and got the closest look at God (See Our Further Reading).
Grace keeps the believer on the path of righteousness as he journeys to heaven. Grace keeps saints from stumbling and falling into sin. Grace is holy and keeps God’s people holy unto God (Titus 2:11).
When a man finds grace with God, he can access the throne of grace and obtain mercy. Literally, a man of grace gets answers to prayers. The saint in the grace of God can pray and receive his petition because of what Jesus do for us.
Have you come into this Grace? The grace of God has been purchased for you by the blood of Jesus Christ. Repent and confess your sins to God today, and you will begin to enjoy the grace of God. Your reading this is the first proof of grace. Act on it.
REFLECTION
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
John 1:17
Christ is the author of grace, run to Him to have full access to the grace of God.
