Nations are already on the brink of collapse and one would think that man would lay down his pride and call on God.
Are these not a loving warning from a loving God who is wooing humanity to Himself again asking us the question “why should ye die?”.
It is obvious that our politicians are sweating and much more confused than ever, yet there is not a nation in the western world or anywhere that has declared national days of prayer.
One would think a nation like Great Britain will suddenly awake and take a cue from history and do what was done in the time of past crisis to bring a solution to the ailing nation.
If the tightening economic issues were UK issues only, one would say there is a call for a national day of prayer. But the world economy is under great strain, there is great distress in virtually all the nations of the world. This means that we need International days of prayers.
Post covid 19, the tightening economy of nations has even become tighter in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The case of the western nation can be described as one of a people who forgot the God of their fathers and are now in the hand of the enemy.
Is judgement not clearly looming upon the world? We have forsaken God and shed more innocent blood than any other. Blood from senseless wars, many death traps in alcoholic drinks, Cigars and drugs, not to talk of the 73.3 million babies murdered through abortion yearly. The blood of the many Christian martyrs made up for the greater number. It is no wonder everywhere that things are turning upside down.
We must repent and call on God. So far our stoutness has brought us nothing but judgement, yet greater judgement looms.
Who will dare tell our national leaders that nothing will work at this time but repentance?
Which of our Christian leaders will warn our nations of further calamity if there is no repentance? Who will tell the church that it is time to declare days of prayer to repent for ourselves and on behalf of our nations?
More evil has been perpetrated within the walls of our churches, it is either repentance leading to revival or we continue in our pride and expect judgment.
Let the priest and the ministers weep between the altar and the porch and cry, spare your people oh God and give not your heritage to reproach.
If no one rises to pray, won’t you? Let us all rise, it is now or never.
