MESSAGE
Noah’s ark has been dubbed the ark of salvation. It was God’s instrument for preserving life in the wake of divine judgment upon a sinful world.
If you read verses 12 and 13 of Genesis 6, you will see the picture of what is happening in our time. Corruption and violence filled the old world. Man, the Bible says has corrupted his way (Genesis 6:12).
In a crooked and perverse generation, God is asking you to shine as light. Just as God said to Noah, “make me an ark”, He is saying the same to you (Philippians 2:15).
Though there is violence and corruption everywhere, God is demanding of you to rise and shine (Isaiah 60:1).
For you, it would not mean any physical building of an ark, but a deliberate and thorough effort that brings men to salvation.
It is a call to intercession I.e. standing in the gap for lost souls in the place of prayer. Engaging heaven until sceptre of mercy is stretched to them (Ezekiel 22:30).
It is a call to active soul winning – doing the work of an evangelist in and out of season. Don’t ever forget that you are saved to save others. Therefore go all the way to rescue the perishing (2 Timothy 4:2,5).
God may be asking you to bring hope to the hopeless in some forms. Your ark is a means of bringing people to Christ.
The great commission is for all, yet after Jesus had given us the command to go heaven is still saying “who shall we send and who will go for us?” (Matthew 28:19-20; Isaiah 6:8).
Noah preached for 120 years and won only his family. You must at least win yours too. The end is nearer than ever, we are running out of time. One question you must ask the Lord this morning is “Lord what would you have me do?” (Acts 9:6).
I hope you would sit and ask God this morning, which ark would you want me to build for you in connection with the salvation of men. Just as God gave Noah the precise dimensions of the ark, He will accurately instruct you on what to do.
Let every sinner repent and heed the call to salvation, get into the ark and be saved.
REFLECTION
God is asking you to build an ark, will you heed the call?
PRAYER
Father, give me the grace and strength to heed your call to build an ark that will bring many to Christ.
