MESSAGE
Truly the preaching of the gospel is foolishness to them that perish but to those who are saved, it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:18). We see many mock the gospel today the very way the sons-in-law of Lot mocked the idea of Sodom’s destruction. Many have gone so far as to question whether rapture would ever happen. But we know that God meant every word He Had said and none will fall to the ground.
The Christians are debtors to those who are unsaved. We are called to preach the word in season and out of season. When it is convenient and when it is not. We must remember that men are appointed to die once and then judgment follows.
God’s expectations and long-suffering over sinners is that they should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Don’t hesitate to warn men of the judgment and destruction coming to this word.
The great commission is for all and its foundation must be prayer. The Bible says that the devil who is the god of this world blinds men so that they would not see the glorious light of the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:3-4). We must through fervent intercession ask that the blindfold of the enemy would be removed from their face.
Honestly, sinners are the blindest, even when he is eating pigs’ food it will taste like a great delicacy. The prodigal son was in that state, the terrible state of being dirty as a pig and desiring to have pigs’ food. Until his eyes were opened, he never saw anything so wrong with the lifestyle. That is why we must warn
men of the dangers of sin and why they must turn away.
It Is time we awake from our slumber, the message is urgent and we cannot delay. Many who languished in darkness and those who sits in the region of the shadows of death must receive the light (Matthew 4:16).
Will you go for the Master to rescue the dying throng, who could breathe their last any moment from now? Will you throw them the lifeline of the glorious gospel of Christ, calling unto them that Jesus saves and they too can be saved? Wait no longer my friend because the time is very short, any moment from now and in a twinkle of an eye, the trump of God shall sound, call them before they are lost for life.
If there is any time to pray for the lost it is now, this is time to labour to bring them to the fold. Christ the great shepherd calls you, asking: “Will You Go For Me” (Isaiah 6:8)?
REFLECTION
The great commission is not only a must but very urgent. Go out to pull men out of the fire.
PRAYER
Father, please awaken me to the urgency of this task and anoint me with the power of the Holy Spirit to witness boldly in Jesus’ Name.
