By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

MESSAGE
If there is anything so sad today is seeing men making a business out of the work of God. They are everywhere, they sell oil, handkerchiefs, and water for bogus amounts claiming to have prayed and anointed them.
Our text of the day says that they will exploit many with deceptive words. We live in that time today. If you don’t want to fall victim to these religious swindlers, you must heed this warning by allowing God’s word to be your compass.
Those who are looking for quick miracles and prophecy will most like fall victim to these false prophets. That is why I want you to take the time to claim every promise and prophecy in the Bible, they are for you and you get your miracles.
We hear of these false prophets burying humans and animals in their church all in the name of gathering crowds. They have gone to the devil to receive power. Christians must stop running to men whose life does not match that of Christ.
They also indulge in and encourage immorality and perversion. They will tell you that you can wear anything you like, God is not concerned about how you dress; even if it’s seductive and revealing. We saw one of these false prophets influence the Church in Thyatira.
Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.
Revelation 2:20 NKJV
Those false teachers are not only encouraging those things that the word of God is against but also sponsoring them. They teach that homosexuals have the right to be joined in marriage when God’s word is clearly against it.
Some even say that Jesus is not the only way to God but one of the ways. They deny the truth of repentance and regeneration from dead works into a new life in God. Such men and women are sent into the world to sift and pull you down. Run from them.
Do not forget that by their fruits you will know them.
REFLECTION
For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ.
Philippians 3:18 NKJV
Trust the Lord to keep you from falling victim to false prophets and be wise to stick to the doctrine of the word of God.
PRAYER
Father, I receive the grace to continue in the doctrine of the Bible so as not to fall victim to false prophets and their schemes.
